Come enjoy tango, in the city that was once the summer playground of America’s wealthiest families, in an 1850’s Queen Anne-style Newport mansion.

TRANSPORTATION
Newport, RI is a historic seaport city located not far from Providence, RI. Accessing Newport may take a bit of planning if you are not coming by car. Once on site, you will not need a car to get to local restaurants and other sites. Plenty of parking is available for attendees.

If you are coming by Amtrak, the closest station is Kingston, RI. You will need some transportation from the train station to Newport and Salve Regina University.

Housing at Salve Regina 

Overnight accommodations are available in residence halls on campus the nights of Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9, 2014.

Housing Requests are handled separately from Event Registration, please register for event ONLINE REGISTRATION HERE.

The room rate is $55.00 per person, per night for a double room and 
$75.00 per night for a single room. 
Each guest will be provided with bed linens and a set of towels. 
Housing must be arranged separate from event registration.Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Young Building on Friday, August 8, 2014.

If you require a late arrival, please check in at the Security Office located at Tobin Hall at 167 Webster Street, Newport, RI 02840.

Check-out is no later than 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014.Please depost your building access card in the drop box located at the entrance of the residence hall upon checking out. There will be a $15.00 charge for any lost building access cards.

To arrange housing on the Salve Regina University campus, follow these instructions:
  1. Download and complete one the forms that can be found here:
