The Tango Society of Boston sponsors a Mid-Week Tango Dance Break every Wednesday. It is Boston's first and largest informal Milonga (Tango Social Dance) Every Wednesday - Classes & Dancing 7:00-8:00pm - Beginner Tango 8:00-9:00pm - Intermediate+ Classes with Guillermo Merlo 9:00pm-12:00am - Dancing Weekly classes and Social Dancing Weekly Guest DJs |

For the month of OCTOBER the Intermediate+ class will work on: "Exploring Variations for the Giro" In the intermediate tango classes, dancers will build upon the fundamental skills and concepts they learned as beginners and also in previous Intermediate class. It is also very necessary to continue to learn the importance of navigating the dance floor gracefully and safely We have a fantastic opportunity for the next 5 weeks to study Tango with one of the new generation teachers and performers, Maestro Guillermo Merlo |

"Barridas"are a smooth and elegant tango movement where one partner gently sweeps the other's foot across the floor. They add a sense of fluidity and playfulness to the dance.

1. Simple Forward Barrida 2. Side Barrida with Cross 4. Double Barrida 5. Circular Barrida Adding these elegant movements to your social dance repertoire can enrich the dance and make your tango more fluid and dynamic! As always, Late Night Milonga will be a lot of fun!!
