Sunday, April 26 - WORKSHOPS 1:00 - 2:30pm Biomechanics in Tango: understanding how to build a real connection and dance as a team. Applying in Ochos with variations and Boleos. 2:45 - 4:15 pm The Pause as a key connector in the dance. Applying in Paradas and Pauses. We are limiting the number of people in each class so that Gaby can give you more attention. Please pre-register early so that you don't miss out on this opportunity. "Introduction to Argentine Tango"
April 12, 19, 25, 2026

with Laura Grandi
For Total Beginners, or beginners who wants to LEVEL UP their Tango, and anyone who wants to learn/review fundamentals in a course of 4 classes.
Learn the fundamentals, basic moves, organization of the dance, connection, navigation strategies for dancing.
Ideal for absolute beginners, people who need to review fundamentals, or dances from another genre who want to learn Tango quickly.
You will acquire the knowledge to become a social tango dancer, and attend with more confidence to the regular group classes. You just need to continue practicing A LOT!
Requirements
All gender is welcome to lead or follow
Bring comfortable shoes and clothes. Not sure about shoes? Bring a pair of socks
You will have a lot of practice and individual corrections.

APRIL 2026 We have a new plan for students: Each class is now $15, to help you save and get back to dancing!! Free Wednesday Tango Break Milonga if you take a class prior For the month of March, in the Intermediate+ class will work on: "ENROSQUES AND DESENROSQUES ACTIONS IN TANGO " OH WHAT FUN!!!. Whether you’re new to these movements or ready to polish your style, this course will help you dance ganchos & enganches with confidence, safety, and flair. |

Guillermo Merlo and Laura Grandi will partner and teach both classes together. Currently, we do not have a "couple" teaching Tango classes on a regular basis in our community, so this will be a wonderful addition and perfect experience for both leaders and followers Wednesday Tango Classes 7-8pm Beginner Tango 8-9pm Intermediate + Tango NO PARTNER NECESSARY NO NEED TO PRE-REGISTER. For the month of APRIL we will work on the following in the Intermediate Class;
"ENROSQUES AND DESENROSQUES ACTIONS IN TANGO" 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 (𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬) are fundamental elements within the dynamics of turns in Argentine tango. They are based on torso–hip dissociation, axis control, and precise pivot technique. 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞: happens when the dancer turns on their own axis while maintaining the torso oriented in relationship to the partner. The legs accompany the rotation with control and stability. It requires balance, strong center control, and grounded connection to the floor. 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞: (Unwinding action) this is the release of the stored torsion from the enrosque. It allows the dancer to exit the turn smoothly and continue into a new direction or movement. It is essential for maintaining fluidity and musical continuity in turns. This class is designed for both leaders and followers equally since both Guillermo and Laura will be showing both roles. If you who wish to refine your technique, expand your creative vocabulary, and deepen the expressive dialogue within the tango embrace, this class is perfect for you. |
