MARCH 2025

For the month of MARCH the Intermediate+ class will  work on:
"BOLEOS" different types of Boleos to shine on the dance floor

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐬?
𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠?
In Argentine tango, boleos (from the Spanish "bolear," meaning "to throw") are dynamic movements where the follower's leg whips or swings in response to the leader's lead.
Boleos can be classified in different ways based on their energy, direction, and execution.

Each type of boleo depends on factors like the music, the leader's lead, and the dancer's style.
Some are more suited for salon tango (subtle and elegant), while others shine in stage tango (flashy and expressive).

In the intermediate tango classes, dancers will build upon the fundamental skills and concepts they learned as beginners and also in previous Intermediate class.

It is also very necessary to continue to learn the importance of navigating the dance floor gracefully and safely
𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤.
Starting March 2025, Guillermo Merlo and Laura Grandi will partner and teach both classes together.
Currently, we do not have a "couple" teaching Tango classes on a regular basis in our community, so this will be a wonderful addition and perfect experience for both leaders and followers
